Dr. Geri Lake-Bakaar founded Evolution Veterinary Specialists with a simple but powerful mission: to offer the kind of care she’d want for her own pets. The inspiration? Zelda, her beloved dog, who reminded her just how deeply animals shape our lives.
A Harvard and Cornell graduate and a board-certified veterinary cardiologist, Dr. Geri brings world-class training and a deep love for animals to everything she does. As a mom, dog lover, and passionate educator, she created Evolution to be a locally owned hospital where pets are treated like family—because that’s what they are.
